DENISE RUBIN’S LIFELONG PASSION FOR REAL ESTATE HAS PUT HER AT THE TOP OF HER GAME.
By Jennifer Leslie Kramer
While Denise Rubin focuses primarily on Aventura, Sunny Isles, Hallandale Beach and Bal Harbor, she abides by the fact that she covers the region “from South Beach to Palm Beach.” Having worked in the Aventura area since the 90s, and before that, in South Miami, Rubin has witnessed the neighborhood change firsthand over the years. “The biggest change, by far, is the international market,” she says. “In fact, long before this niche took off, I saw it coming, which is why in 1992 I became certified as an international marketing specialist. I wanted to be in a position to take advantage of the influx of cash buyers. That’s why I also have an incredibly international team. We have agents that speak Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, French and everything in between.” Amidst her record-breaking sales, Rubin finds time to give back and bring her sales ability to a number of charities including the Cystic Fibrosis foundation, the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation and The Sunshine Kids Foundation, where she has helped raise more than $2 million via an annual fundraiser. DENISE RUBIN
Growing up in Long Island, Denise Rubin remembers her pharmacist father working long days. “I definitely got my work ethic from him,” she says. To that end, Rubin pursued not only a real estate license but also one in interior design, “which helps me have good staging ability and definitely puts me ahead of the game,” she explains. And it paid off. She recently reached a career milestone surpassing $2 billion in personal sales and has been inducted into Prudential’s Chairman Diamond Circle, which represents the top half of 1 percent of all sales associates. Rubin currently hangs her hat under Warren Buffet’s uber-successful Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and has no plans to slow down. “I love what I do. Why would I ever stop?”
